profeet's boot fitting service
At profeet our professional ski boot fitters will help fit you with the best ski boots available by discussing with you:
- your past skiing experiences
- any previous boot fit problems
- your future skiing goals
- any previous injuries.
As part of this process your 'fit goal' will be discussed amongst other things.
Some prefer snug comfort, others demand a very secure 'race' type fit.
1D Analysis
At profeet we utilise the latest modern technology such as foot pressure mapping and
video analysis. This technology gives us a view of the foot, lower leg, muscles and joints that is impossible to assess using just the naked eye.

Your ski boot technician will examine your bio-mechanical make-up, plus discuss other sports
activities you pursue and previous injuries affecting your personal make-up and movement.
Utilising state of the art computer mapping
of pressure from under your feet snap shots will be taken in various positions to provide insights into your weight distribution and
areas needing support under your foot. During this step, postural alignment will also be reviewed. The anatomical structure of your
feet will also be examined to best select the right boots for your personal shape.
This process focuses upon the shape of heel width,
ankle width and volume, forefoot width, instep/arch height, calf size plus general mobility and flexibility through the foot, ankle
and calf. Movements under flexion will be examined to determine whether you pronate, supinate or remain neutral.

The skier's edge ski simulator shown right
Time provided, and relevant to your level of ski experience, we will video your first turns
in your new ski-boots, whilst in-store with our uniquely adapted skier's edge simulator using specialist motion analysis software.
This session can provide insight into your physical make-up with respect to how your ski position is being affected by tight muscles,
ligaments or dominant imbalances. It also gives you a chance to simulate similar forces while skiing to assess boot suitability and
any 'hot spots' that we can iron out while in-store. The simulator may answer questions such as why you struggle to ski one way more
than the other, why your quads burn, why you find it hard to control the edges of your skis...sound familiar?
