2D The Custom Insole
What's out there in the world of insoles?
There are a whole host of different types of insoles, orthotics, inlays, inserts that you can buy as a consumer.
They also differ in style, construction and function. So what do you go for? Below is a basic breakdown of the various styles
they you will find in ski shops.
- Pre-moulded These already have a pre-set shape and profile and will fit directly into your ski boots.
Trim-to-fit, Conformable step-in - Semi customized Off the shelf insoles.
Formthotics, superfeet cork, among others - Machine Made The insoles are either milled by a machine separate from the foot or moulded with a pre-formed cork template that is heated prior to taking the mould.
Amfit. - Fully custom moulded Moulded directly to the foot using high definition thermal plastics and then handcrafted to your feet and biomechanical needs.
Conform'able (Profeet Special Make-Up)
The materials that are used vary from hi-density/rigid EVA (foam), to
hi-density/rigid cork, to flexible hi-definition thermal plastics-Conform'able.
The flexible nature of profeet insoles combined with our unique supporting structure allow the foot to both be held in
its most dynamic position while also giving the foot the ability to flex and absorb pressure. Often harder, more stiff
materials reduce the ability for the foot to flex naturally and thus feel less 'lively'.
