About Us

Jimmy Bell (New Zealand)
Having grown up skiing and racing as a junior, snow has always been an important part of my life. Whilst at university I worked in the ski industry and first started the learning about professional boot-fitting. Over a decade of experience in the industry has included years spent coaching snow sports and learning to manage the psychological dementia of working powder days. . .
When not playing with peoples' feet, I enjoy getting mucky on my bike or pretending to be creative in the kitchen.

Michelle Wilcox (United Kingdom)
Being born and bred in London, skiing wasn't a huge part of my childhood till we moved to surrey and I signed up for a school ski trip; which I loved and have never looked back! While at school I worked part time in my local ski shop. My part time job turned into a full time occupation and I worked my way through every department until I established myself in ski boot fitting. At 23 I have amassed 12 seasons between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. When I'm in London I enjoy cooking, football and live music. When I'm in New Zealand I enjoy skiing on the Canterbury Club Fields as much as I can while managing a busy rental shop.

Michael Meier (Switzerland)
Having grown up in Zurich, Switzerland, I was lucky enough to ski from the age of 3 years. I then had the opportunity to live in Zermatt for the past 10 years. I consider myself fortunate to have spent each day in the mountains and all they behold!!
There have been many facets to my work, not least of all as a snowboard instructor and also in developing the ski and snowboard industry, largely through retail and rental. Business aside, when opportunity presents itself, snowboarding and skiing remain my passion!
Happy circumstances dictate that now, having an English wife, I have decided to make my home in England. I intend to develop and expand my knowledge in aim to help others get the best out of the sports I love.

Jonathan Davis (United Kingdom)
Being a sporty, outdoors person and growing up in South London I've always been searching for that escape from the Big City life. This led to my first passion: cycling, where I have performed my Lance Armstrong heroics on many mountain climbs across the world, in particular in the French Alps.
But if I'm not ripping my lungs apart conquering the famous mythical mountain passes of Le Tour, the winter allows me to enjoy my love of snow sports. There is nothing more enthralling than to wake up in the morning to crisp, clear blue skies set on the backdrop of snow-covered mountains, ready to take on whatever the mountain has to throw at me. It makes me feel alive baby!!
Working for Profeet allows me to pass on my experience in the industry which I have accumulated doing seasons working in ski stores in the French Alps. It also enables me to apply my knowledge of anatomy and physiology and sports injury and rehabilitation (where my thirst to learn more is never quenched!) to give that perfect boot fit.

Neil Kerr (N.Ireland)
I spent my early ski career on the soft and powdery dry-slopes of home before seeing the light on a school trip to Glenshee in Scotland. A brief racing career was replaced with the love of fresh tracks and the freedom of the backcountry.
I have been working in ski retail and specialist boot fitting for over 10 years all round the globe and it has kept me skiing as much as possible.
I am now based in Wanaka, New Zealand where I spend my time skiing and biking with my buddies and working on my plans to retire young! Before my retirement kicks in I am planning to take over the world from the grass roots by re-inventing NZ Skier Magazine, check us out at www.NZskier.com in the near future.

Katharine Nowakowski (Canadian)
Growing up in Toronto, the 'bunny hills' of the Golden Horseshoe region became a weekend routine. As a result of the limited Ontario terrain, regular excursions to Quebec quickly became a must! Aside from skiing, I enjoy ice hockey, rowing and anything else that keeps the heart pumping! My passion for sport drove me to complete a BSc in Kinesiology in Canada, focusing on biomechanics, physiology and athletic injuries. After graduating I moved to London to pursue putting my skills and sporting experiences to play in the workforce, where I became a member of the ski boot team at Profeet, helping bring comfort with performance to our clients!
