Biomechanical Analysis

Our comprehensive biomechanical analysis is second to none. We start by assessing your foot shape, type and function before using state-of-the-art analysis technology to assess your movement using both foot scanning and video gait analysis equipment and software.

Custom Insoles

Custom insoles are key for support and comfort and will help cushion your feet in their very own custom mould. They also improve the fit of the shoe or boot and help reduce fatigue and blisters and your feet sliding forward as you walk downhill.

 

Insoles are the secret of the Profeet custom fit – they are moulded to suit each individual foot and tailored to precisely fit and work with your boots and shoes for a truly bespoke walking solution.

Our Walking Boot & Shoe Selection

We work closely with manufacturers and assess the fit and function of all the boots and shoes we stock. Our Profeet Approved range aims to cover all foot shapes, foot types and biomechanical (gait) profiles.

 

We are a stockist of Tecnica Forge Walking Boots – the first ever custom fit walking boot. Whilst we don’t currently stock mountaineering and more extreme boots we can still help with gait analysis and custom insoles.

Boot Stretching

We have state-of-the-art stretching tools that allow us to stretch boots for bunions, lumps and bumps. You might sometimes need to leave the boots with us to do this.

Our signature custom shoe fitting appointment – we get you in the best walking shoe in terms of fit and function before fine tuning with our 100% Custom Insoles. We can also offer this appointment to fit custom insoles to shoes provided by you.

This service is suitable for walking, hiking, trekking and individuals that spend time on their feet and want to increase comfort or improve performance.

Please note: This appointment type is not available at peak times. We might not be able to work on the make or type of footwear due to materials used etc. You might need to leave your footwear with us overnight.

Duration – Up to 30 mins

This appointment is for our customers who have had a Profeet Signature Custom Fitting Assessment, or one of our legacy services that include our Fit Guarantee (ex. Sport Assessment, 3D Sport Assessment or 3D Pro Assessment).

  • ✓The Fit Guarantee is valid for three months for footwear and six months for custom insoles from the date of purchase.
  • ✓Duration: Up to 30 minutes. 1

Our Profeet Fit Guarantee
Although we do our utmost to make sure you leave Profeet comfortable with your custom insoles and/or new footwear, we understand issues can arise.

Our Fit Guarantee Adjustment is offered as part of our Profeet Fit Guarantee which enables you to come back into store, have your problem assessed and one of our technicians will come up with the best possible solution to address the issue.

Outdoor Lab appointment notes:

1 Appointment time length can vary slightly depending on individual requirements. If you arrive late, we may need to alter the assessment to suit the available time or to rebook you an alternative date and time.

2 Additional insoles can be purchased during your appointment. However, may not be possible to finish more than one pair during an appointment and later collection or posting may be necessary.

3 Walking boots or shoes, Custom Insoles and other footwear are charged separately and not included in the Assessment cost.

Tecnica Forge

Introducing Custom Fitted Walking Boots:

Having identified that walking boots can be hard to fit and need breaking-in, Tecnica have developed the ‘Forge’ with heat mouldable areas around the ankles, heel and sides of the foot.

The boots are specially heated and then custom moulded with high pressure bags around your feet. The boots are available in leather or fabric and feature super grippy Vibram mega grip soles.
